POSITION SUMMARY: The HazMat Field Driver/Technician will be responsible for transporting various waste streams to designated generator sites safely and adequately. Operate Straight Trucks (box trucks) and Tractor-Trailers to perform pickups of bulk and containerized hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Performs a variety of duties that comply with government regulations and procedures.\nPrinciple R\n...\nesponsibilities\n\u2022 Operates trucks which may include roll-offs, tankers, gravel trains, tractor-trailers, box trucks, etc.\n\u2022 Performs LTL (less than load) pickups.\n\u2022 Maintains driver documents, such as logbook, quarterly permit book, trip reports, waste manifests, etc.\n\u2022 Understands and ensures accurate placarding, load securement, HAZMAT load segregation, and labeling\n\u2022 Clear understanding of state weight limit laws.\n\u2022 Maintains company equipment\n\u2022 Understands and utilizes company technology, such as mobile applications and software maintenance, as assigned by leaders.\n\u2022 Performs DOT / MOT pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.\n\u2022 Effectively interacts and communicates with customers to ensure satisfaction\n\u2022 Processes hazardous and non-hazardous materials as needed.\n\u2022 Assists in maintaining good housekeeping at the facility and on the grounds.\n\u2022 May function as a technician on lab pack and field service projects.\n\u2022 Participates in the Site Safety program and required training.\n\u2022 Performs other, related duties as assigned.\nQualifications\n\u2022 Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and compressor systems.\n\u2022 Knowledge of pumps, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, metal fabrication, and other maintenance functions.\n\u2022 Skilled in using hand and shop tools and instruments.\n\u2022 Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.\n\u2022 Must be able to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.\nMinimum Qualifications\n\u2022 Class A Commercial Driver\u2019s license is required with hazardous material and tanker endorsements
